The Italian Grand Prix grid has been reshuffled once again after the stewards handed pit lane starts to both Fernando Alonso and Liam Lawson for separate breaches of parc fermé regulations.
Aston Martin were found to have replaced Alonso's energy store, control electronics unit and MGU-K without approval from the FIA Technical Delegate while the car was under parc fermé conditions. With no sign-off obtained for the changes, the stewards ruled the team had breached the FIA F1 Regulations, leaving Alonso with no option but to start the race from the pit lane.
Red Bull found themselves in a similar position with Liam Lawson's car. The team changed the rear wing assembly and altered the suspension setup under parc fermé, again without the required approval. As with Alonso, the breach meant an automatic pit lane start for Lawson on Sunday.
Both decisions add further disruption to a Monza weekend already reshaped by grid penalties for Antonelli, Albon and Piastri, meaning the Italian Grand Prix grid looks rather different from the one qualifying produced on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Alex Albon picked up a warning after the stewards ruled he failed to follow the Race Director's instructions at Turns 4 and 5 during FP3, going off the prescribed track limits path. The warning carries no further sporting consequence, but it adds to what has already been an eventful weekend for the Williams driver following his earlier grid penalty.
