Cadillac has made a change at the top of its Formula 1 operation, appointing Marcin Budkowski as its new Team Principal.

Budkowski replaces Graeme Lowdon, who played a major role in bringing Cadillac into Formula 1 and overseeing the team's preparations for its debut season.

The new team principal brings considerable experience from across the sport. Budkowski has previously worked with Prost, Ferrari and McLaren before moving into senior roles with the FIA and later Renault/Alpine.

His appointment comes as Cadillac moves from the initial task of establishing itself as an F1 team towards the longer-term challenge of becoming competitive on track.

Cadillac is still in the early stages of its Formula 1 project, making the leadership change an important part of its development.

For Budkowski, the task is now to help turn the infrastructure and foundations built during Cadillac's entry into the sport into a team capable of challenging further up the grid.
