As Formula 1 arrives at the Temple of Speed, the Italian Grand Prix has no shortage of stories. Championship leader Kimi Antonelli faces his home race from the back of the grid after Mercedes elected to take a power-unit penalty, turning the weekend into a major recovery challenge.
Ferrari, meanwhile, head into their biggest weekend of the season with a special home-race atmosphere, a tribute to Michael Schumacher and an updated power unit as Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc chase success in front of the Tifosi.
There is also the question of McLaren's resurgence. Lando Norris has won the last two Grands Prix in Hungary and Zandvoort, but Monza presents a very different challenge. If McLaren can remain competitive at a low-downforce, high-speed circuit, their recent form could become a serious factor in the championship battle.
Elsewhere, Isack Hadjar remains sidelined through injury, giving Liam Lawson another opportunity alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull, while Yuki Tsunoda continues at Racing Bulls.
With Antonelli's 59-point championship advantage vulnerable, Ferrari bringing upgrades to their home race, and McLaren arriving with momentum, Monza could be one of the most important weekends of the season so far.
